This presentation introduces trigonometry through circular motion. Rather than treating topics like right triangle trigonometry, vectors, polar coordinates, arc length, and parametric equations separately, these concepts can be presented in an interconnected introduction.
A cohesive approach to teaching functions! Explore strategies to connect solving equations with function representations and behaviors. Engage with Desmos activities, error analysis, and tools for fostering deep understanding through graphical, numerical, and algebraic connections in MAT 171.
This session will share CVCC's corequisite approach for Fall, highlighting its design, outcomes, opportunities, and challenges. Participants are encouraged to engage in open dialogue, exchanging insights and strategies to enhance student success and address potential threats to the model.
Attendees will be given a list of counting numbers from 1-100. Each number has a secret code tied to it. During the presentation we will collect samples, after which the attendees are challenged to find the elements that reveal the code. A great step into the world of Number Theory.
